Soooo fun fact, thanks to Ridley Scott, Tar was NOT written for Cate Blanchett originally like everyone on here said. It was written for a male, and Todd couldn’t cast one, so it THEN became a role for Cate
So was Evelyn Wang apparently. Maybe that’s the reason these two female characters penned by men were so brilliantly written?🧐
January 26, 2023 at 2:08 pm #1205269502Brilliantly written sure is a stretch for Evelyn Wang.

January 26, 2023 at 2:10 pm #1205269508Rebecca Hall should have absolutely been the surprise nomination over Andrea. She didn’t have enough white famous friends
That is strange since Rebecca Halla has worked with:
Christian Bale, Scarlett Johansson, Hugh Jackman, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Ben Affleck, Johnny Depp, Sam Rockwell, Frank Langella,2023 Oscar
Best Picture: Holy Spider
Best Director: Decision to Leave
Best Actress: Cate Blanchett
Best Actor: Brendan Fraser
Best Supporting Actress: Olivia de Leon
Best Supporting Actor: Ke Huy QuanJanuary 26, 2023 at 2:16 pm #1205269521It’s relevant because the simps proclaimed this role was written for her, when it clearly wasn’t. I’m not saying it diminishes her performance in the least. But let’s tell the truth, this wasn’t originally written for her like the simps say. It wasn’t Cate or bust, it was you can’t get any actors for this, so Let’s shift towards Cate
No one proclaimed this role was written for her, Todd Field himself said that in Venice. Blanchett in “Actors on Actors” mentioned that the role was originally male.

Best Supporting Actress: Angela BassettJanuary 26, 2023 at 2:21 pm #1205269536The Cate trashing made me skeptical if the Deadwyler stan account was Dave or not, but yesterday they dragged the TPOTD fandom and now they’re dragging Yeoh so it’s quite clear that Justice4Danielle is Dave. Anyways put them on ignore smh you were better when you weren’t bipolar about eeaao
January 26, 2023 at 2:32 pm #1205269589Actually, you are one of the very simps I was referring to, but didn’t want to mention names. I have an account dating back to 2018 Hun. You were for sure going on in one of your many lengthy posts about how this was written specifically for Cate Blanchett. Written for her and her only
You can always name me. As I said, not me nor anyone else here is to blame for something Todd Field himself said. The quotes are easily found on Internet. Later Blanchett during “Actors on Actors” with Yeoh, spoke that both characters – Lydia and Evelyn were originally written for male.

I’ve had my main account since 2018. Long before you even came around. Long before Dave. Your desperation to be involved in a conversation is so pathetic you had to pull the tired Dave card. And as if 99 percent of this board doesn’t already ignore you
No one brings up the TPOTD crowd except for Dave 🤣
January 26, 2023 at 2:56 pm #1205269620Of course you nor anyone here is to blame for something Todd Field said that was actually false and had to recant, but it doesn’t negate you were one of the simps shoving that false fact down our throats now does it?
OK, I’ll entertain this… How was I shoving that down anyone’s throat?

I prefer my roses whiteJanuary 26, 2023 at 3:58 pm #1205269713Andrea is a modest, hard-working actress who doesn’t court any kind of attention and has essentially been doing incredibly fine-grained work as a character actress for nearly two decades without any hooplah, self-generated or generated by others. She is from a humble background. In fact, she is from one of the most deprived parts of Northern England, which is one of the most deprived parts of Europe (not all Brits are born with a spoon in their mouths). She has reached a position in the industry where her peers wanted to recognise her talents and achievements, and they have done so in this beautiful, controlled, unsentimental performance. She is about the work. She almost certainly had very little to do with this campaign. She isn’t about spilling salty tea all over an obscure forum.
