All i can see is someone got their request for Autograph rejected by Michelle Yeoh
FYC:

We started earlier with Blanchett as she established herself earlier in the race. Now it’s Michelle’s time. All in all, I am not taking this BS seriously and I hope no one does.

February 5, 2023 at 1:11 am #1205284632I usually don’t agree with Clayton but he might be right about Causeway. Brian Tyree Henry got nominated with no precursors and with no trifecta win. Maybe JLaw was close too. We’ll never know but people could be wrong about that 6th place. They sure watched and liked it.
No precursor is a reach. He was nominated for Critics Choice. That is a precursor, whether folks here want to admit it or not.
February 5, 2023 at 4:21 am #1205284714No. But a person who knows Michelle Yeoh better than all you stans do and bother to do more research on her past while you all are just busy pushing her for the Oscar win
I´ve never trust someone who joined a forum two weeks ago and most of the post made by you are rubbish against some actress.
This is a serious forums, no a place for you to spare hate.
February 5, 2023 at 5:16 am #1205284766Wow I cannot believe this forum deliberately deletes posts about Yeoh’s unpleasant political past even when they have been published by reputable sources like the hollywood reporter! a clear bias on pushing yeoh for the win!
We’re all biased. Perhaps not as vehemently as you.
Go Yeoh!

I prefer my roses whiteFebruary 5, 2023 at 5:30 am #1205284786Well, good for Michelle for mobilizing a group of army akin to those of BTS who will not question anything about her political past or lack of solid acting skills but just push push push her for the win cos she happens to be Asian and there has been no Asian winning the Best Actress Oscar before.
When you make assumptions about the savvy posters here, you lose whatever credibility you had. So, your ounce is gone.

Still a precursor

I prefer my roses whiteFebruary 5, 2023 at 9:53 am #1205285255I mean… okay, but the Oscars are not about morals, it’s supposed to be about the performance and work done in film.
This same rule should have applied to Nate Turner and the entire Birth of a Nation team. I’m not entirely a fan of cancel culture because these are not awards for the most morally upright
Gaga is slaying in Folie à Deux
February 5, 2023 at 9:57 am #1205285265Still nobody cares especially not AMPAS members
Everyone in the industry care for it. When you miss CC, you’re in danger, and that is why I got scared for Ruth Negga last year. Y’all need to stop acting like the CC are nothing when we have their reaction threads here every year. Nowadays, y’all are claiming GG isn’t an industry award even though they create frontrunners
