Why are people on this forum so toxic? We haven’t seen 85% of the movies yet and you’re already crucifying who doesn’t agree with you.

Many on this forum believe they know better than any actor or producer in the industry. We’re just here giving our opinions and these opinions are not 100% facts.

Why is it deemed toxic if people want disagree with an opinion? I get there’s different ways to respond, but I don’t see any personal attacks going on here that seem toxic.

It’s been almost a month since I saw Park Chan-wook’s Decision to Leave and Tang Wei’s performance is still lingering on my mind… such a delicate, natural, and effortless performance

Regina King is so loved by the industry. If her film will be ready, we will have to watch out for her as well.

Rumours are that Shirley’s test screening went bad

Liking Michelle’s performance is one thing, calling the race over is completely wrong and biased when she’s barely the only real contender we had as of now. We have tons of contenders coming in baitier and more Oscar friendly performances and films. Let’s see how Venice and Toronto go first.

This year is gonna be a long one.

I saw the movie last saturday and she was amazing, what a great perfomance. I hope BAFTA gives some love for DTL and the jury chooses Tang Wei for a nomination.

Respectfully, I reread the last few pages and quite literally no one has said this race is over or denied that fall festival contenders could have a chance, in regards to Yeoh winning the Oscar. Where is this coming from? It’s mostly been Yeoh praise, people saying what performances they liked/are looking forward to, Joker comparisons, and analyses of unseen performances and their chances.

Rumours are that Shirley’s test screening went bad

With all due respect, that came from a questionable source. One which isn’t necessarily reliable. I also think it’s way too premature to discount Shirley based off of erroneous Film Twitter gossip. But that’s just me.

These test screening blurbs are just as bad as the anonymous Oscar ballot articles. Can’t believe people really take these into serious account.

Darling, I’ve been saying this for months. This is a tour de force performance, especially during those last moments in the film. Language barrier aside, her work is absolutely Oscar-worthy as everybody else in this race.

    FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

Michelle Yeoh, Everything Everywhere All At Once
    Tang Wei, Decision To Leave
    Rebecca Hall, Resurrection

James Hong & Jamie Lee Curtis, Everything Everywhere All At Once
