    1. Cate Blanchett

    2. Michelle Yeoh

    3. Viola Davis

    4. Margot Robbie

    5. Danielle Deadwyler

I’m sorry but I see this as a Lakeith Stanfield situation. The studio campaigns lead but Academy voters say hell no and will rightfully put Michelle Williams in supporting. Hopefully other awards shows follow leading up to the Oscars.

    Oscars FYC:

Everything Everywhere All At Once in all eligible categories.

Williams wouldn’t go Lead if her role wasn’t at least a co-lead which seems to be the case and if she wasn’t win competitive. And she is deemed win competitive because 70% of hopefuls have been seen. The only question marks are Robbie, Ackie and Deadwiler, strong word from test screenings aside. So her studio can compare her performance to Blanchett, Yeoh, Davis, Colman, DeArmas and go yep she can beat them. That’s all that is whether stans want to admit it or not. No one makes this kind of risk for an also-run spot. No one.

I love this development cause pundits decided to close all races as usual and hers was to take Supporting. Now everyone is losing their s***.

There will be no AMPAS and/or precursors putting Williams back in Supporting. That’s just wishful thinking cause it means that someone is missing and there’s a possibility that Williams wins which would BTFO all the headcanons, er, narratives that satns conjured up to this point.

Too early to tell who wins but, once again, this wouldn’t have happened if she wasn’t deemed win competitive. So take it as you will. I’ve no dog in this fight. Wouldn’t mind Yeoh win cause genre performances rarely win, or Blanchett win cause if anyone deserves a third win it’s her and she has the reviews, so I’m not a Williams stan. But she made this race interesting and I respect bravery when too many opt for safe, easy path. So popcorn time.

Cate Blanchett’s third Oscar is more possible. Lead actress category is full and very competitive. Michelle Williams deserves the recognition but if the role is supporting academy members will consider her screentime.

Viola is safer than Margot. I think Margot is on shaky ground now that Michelle W switched.

Probably. Oldman’s nom for Mank gives me just the needed confidence that there is a voterbase in Academy that orgasms to those kind of films.

Darling, I’m starting to think that the talking fetus in Blonde will snatch that 5th spot.

    FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

Michelle Yeoh, Everything Everywhere All At Once
    Tang Wei, Decision To Leave
    Rebecca Hall, Resurrection

James Hong & Jamie Lee Curtis, Everything Everywhere All At Once

Well, you’re thinking wrong. 😭 Not happening, darling. You think academy voters are gonna sit through this? Not in a million years.
