2023 Oscar
Best Picture: Holy Spider
Best Director: Decision to Leave
Best Actress: Cate Blanchett
Best Actor: Brendan Fraser
Best Supporting Actress: Olivia de Leon
Best Supporting Actor: Ke Huy QuanSeptember 28, 2022 at 5:42 pm #1205101667Netflix just updated their FYC website.
https://film.netflixawards.com
Their main 4 priorities seem to be Glass Onion, White Noise (Called it!), GDT’s Pinocchio and Blonde.
The fact that All Quiet on the Western Front isn’t there over Blonde of all things makes me think it’s not getting into BP unless there’s a big critics’ push.

September 28, 2022 at 6:49 pm #1205101743Well, All Quiet on the Western Front isn’t going to get a big critics push when Decision to Leave is right there. The former film’s ceiling is international film.

I feel like Film Twitter already has their knives out for that movie based on the trailer. It doesn’t look appealing to me but I’m willing to give it a chance.
September 29, 2022 at 4:08 am #1205101976#TheWomanKing is phenomenal. @violadavis is a force of nature and the whole cast is incredible. During the action it’s brutal and visceral, but when it slows it’s achingly heartfelt. Truly excellent filmmaking. Best Picture please.
In UK cinemas on October 4. pic.twitter.com/JG6pMBfCOE

Two films today about two extraordinary women: the formidable #ViolaDavis in #TheWomanKing and #EmmaMackey owning it as #Emily. Make sure you see them both next month! @eOneUK @WarnerBrosUK pic.twitter.com/xBRwmXJ730

What a triumph. Glad to finally be out of my three star rut! #TheWomanKing https://t.co/eMeiphIasa

#TheWomanKing is incredible. Thuso Mbedu is a revelation, Sheila Atim demands your allegiance – epically rousing in scale yet tenderly intimate as it navigates one's duty against one's heart. Undeniably Best Picture material, this is Viola Davis's Gladiator. pic.twitter.com/Mn10sx5GpZ

No idea where to start with #TheWomanKing but it is a huge action film with phenomenal set pieces and so much power! The costumes & score are equally stunning but it's Viola Davis and Lashana Lynch who dominate for vastly differently reasons. A truly historic epic. pic.twitter.com/jIxDX8Kctu

UK critics appear to really be taking warmly to the movie. A good sign for BAFTA?
