y’all are trying to clown her… but her campaign is kind of working
Everything Everywhere All At Once for BP
SOS for AOTY
Succession for Best Series
December 8, 2022 at 10:05 am #1205183189Millions of teenage girls are about to check out The Banshees of Inisherin. Good for them.
December 8, 2022 at 10:19 am #1205183224Taylor Swift and Martin McDonagh is peak unseriousness
Her video is nothing special and plain boring. She’s playing the card of « I’m a independent female director » and I need regconition for that. Plenty of female artists directed their own videos lol

implying that they have even a modicum of curiosity outside of their parasocial obsession.
December 8, 2022 at 10:50 am #1205183313I know winning NBR doesn’t really mean much but it would be FASCINATING if BP comes down to Top Gun vs. EEAAO. It would honestly probably be the most effective snapshot of where the film industry is in 2022 with the two most successful versions of complete opposite models of success.
One the platonic ideal of an IP legacy sequel, activating nostalgia in a universally adored away to ride old fashioned filmmaking to the top of the box office.
The other an independently produced film that is completely original and yet LEANS INTO all the tropes that are dominating the box office right now to the final result of being one of the most financially successful indie movies in years.
One is about finding a way for the past to benefit the future, the other about using the future to hold onto storytelling models of the past. It would be exciting, and I think killer for the ratings.
December 8, 2022 at 11:03 am #1205183345How come the best film is not on their top 10 list? It makes no sense lol
December 8, 2022 at 11:08 am #1205183363I love these small wins before the Globes ultimately kicks off the real precursors.
I just love movies. And awards.

December 8, 2022 at 11:25 am #1205183425wouldn’t even be shocked if it comes down to Top Gun v EEAAO
December 8, 2022 at 11:31 am #1205183435Darling, I don’t understand what’s so special about Sweetie Spielberg’s direction of his annoying childhood movie. It’s a pretty boring pick in a year stacked with many creative and bold directions.
December 8, 2022 at 11:56 am #1205183556Tar misses NBR’s top ten films, and doesn’t even make NBR’s top ten list of independent films. Is there a chance it misses a BP nomination at the Oscars?
(I’m still unclear that box office matters much at all for art house films but it’s made even less money than that notorious “bomb” She Said— $5.2 million vs. $9.1 million. In case it’s unclear, I think both Tar and She Said are very good movies.)
December 8, 2022 at 11:59 am #1205183561Tar misses NBR top ten films
NBR usually has a 70% rate when it comes to Best Picture nominees. Last year Power of the Dog missed NBR and still was the frontrunner till PGA.
"EGOT" and "Triple Crown of Acting" winner: VIOLA DAVIS!!!!
