April 22, 2022 at 12:19 am #1204926801Stanley Tucci may be a viable option in best supporting actor for playing Clive Davis in the Whitney movie.
He’s been a well liked and well reviewed actor for decades now and has only been nominated once before so may be overdue for another nomination.

April 22, 2022 at 4:54 am #12049270151. Robert DeNiro – The Killers of the Flower Moon
2. Paul Dano – The Fabelmans
3. Brad Pitt – Babylon
4. Jesse Plemons – The Killers of the Flower Moon
5. Ke Huy Quan – Everything Everywhere All At OnceApril 22, 2022 at 11:44 am #1204927765I feel like supporting categories are nearly impossible to predict at this stage because unless the film is an adaptation or people have read the screenplay, there’s absolutely no way of knowing who’s the standout, who has the bigger part, etc.
Emmys FYC:
Comedy: The Bear, Cunk on Earth, Only Murders in the Building, Reservation Dogs
Drama: The Last of Us, Stranger Things

April 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm #1204927877Darling, here’s my early predictions for best supporting actor;
In alphabetical order
01. Paul Dano, The Batman
02. Robert De Niro, The Killers of the Flower Moon
03. Tom Hanks, Elvis
04. Ke Huy Quan, Everything Everywhere All At Once
05. Brad Pitt, BabylonApril 22, 2022 at 2:33 pm #1204927903I could see BAFTA having big influence in this category since it already doesn’t look very diverse. I’d hope the jury would get Ke Huy Quan in.

Not to sound like a broken record but I don’t see how a jury whom watches everything would pass up a performance like his. If he doesn’t then he’s obviously not top 22.
The twelve highest vote getters are automatic on the shortlist, 13-15 are juried selections from the next ten highest vote totals (13-22).
