Darling, with their immense love of hamminess, I wouldn’t be shocked to hear Botox Hanks’ name being announced at SAG.
I have him predicted there, still shocked they didn’t nominate at the Globes!
FYC:
Zar Amir Ebrahimi - Holy Spider (Best Actress)
Ana de Armas, Julianne Nicholson - Blonde (Best Actress, Supporting Actress)
Samantha Morton - She Said (Best Supporting Actress)
Kerry Condon - The Banshees of Inisherin (Best Supporting Actress)December 30, 2022 at 5:29 pm #1205214651Hanks really was in the movie more than Buttler. That was painful. Other than the length, the focus on his character is the film’s biggest flaw.

pls the best line of anyone in contention for this cat lmaooooo
December 30, 2022 at 8:23 pm #1205214739Is it possible Hanks replaces Pitt/Hirsch for the 5th slot? Especially if Elvis is well received across the board. I mean they did nominate J.K Simmons for Being the fcking Ricardos of all performances lol
December 30, 2022 at 8:37 pm #1205214752J.K. Simmons was a filler “welcome back” nomination for a respected veteran that hadn’t been to the Oscars since their win 7 years earlier.
Who might fit that description this year?

Oh my god this movie’s script is so good, how did they manage to do it, it works in almost every way.
I will forever be shocked at how much i love this movie since I didn’t care for 3BB.And yes I’m predicting Tom Hanks at SAG and i won’t be shocked even if that abomination of a movie ends up with an Ensemble nod.
FYC:
The HBO darlings everywhere (The Last of Us, Succession, The White Lotus, Perry Mason, Somebody Somewhere, White House Plumbers, Love & Death);
The Apple gang (Bad Sisters, Slow Horses, Shrinking, Ted Lasso, Black Bird);
Poker Face, The Great, The Bear, Evil (especially Katja Herbers) and The Good Fight.Please! These gays, they're trying to murder me!

Screen time data for Elvis (2022) – Austin Butler – 1:35:34 (60.01%) – Tom Hanks – 46:36 (29.26%)
“Makes someone out there go:
“Oh, damn. That’s a good actor/director/cinematographer/etc. I should check out more of their stuff”
and then that person proceeds to spend their $$$ on film industry products like movies and shows.”
Yes, I have spent money due to Saoirse Ronan.
December 31, 2022 at 9:24 am #1205215214I’m surprised Edward Norton isn’t getting buzz for Glass Onion. He was the only decent part in that predictable movie
Academy Award Winner Brendan Fraser

honey, you are definitely onto something here, considering their Leo DiCap nod for J. Edgar. Wouldn’t surprise me at all.

After Leto for Gucci, Hanks wouldn’t be a surprise

January 2, 2023 at 12:43 pm #1205218634JANUARY 2 PREDICTIONS
- Key Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once)
- Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin)
- Judd Hirsch (The Fabelmans)
- Brian Tyree Henry (Causeway)
- Paul Dano (The Fabelmans)
January 2, 2023 at 1:46 pm #1205218697Darling, I’m afraid if Feckin’ pulled a Belfast in this category (where two of them got major precursors and only one get into the Oscar). Both of The Irishmen are magnificent and deserves to be nominated.
Feckin’ is the one that deserves double supporting nods this season (my personal pick would be EEAAO, but because Grandpa Hong is non factor, I’ll just be realistic in this race) not Spielberg’s Overrated Home Movie.
