Its the most deserving nomination out of the 5. I’m sorry, but Brian Tyree Henry got nominated for doing legit nothing. I can’t even be happy for that nomination even given he’s a POC. We have POC’s that legit killed it this season, and Brian is nowhere near that group.
Judd Hirsch? Yikes. One scene wonder that legit was bad!
Ke Huy Quan? Sure, the peoples champ, but nah I am with you on Barry. Quan didn’t do anything that he hasn’t done before in the Goonies or Indiana Jones. Barry lit it up and stole the focus from the leads.

I had to log in for the first time in two years just to say the extraordinarily bad takes you’re serving up here and in other threads really aren’t helping anyone take your opinion of Deadwyler seriously. If you’re so wrong about so much, how right can you be about her? (Not very.)

Rewatched Causeway and Brian Tyree Henry might just be the worst nominee in this field in the last 20 years or more. Wow. This man really did nothing at all. The most chilled, laid back performance, my guy was practically asleep for his performance.
This was worse than Sam Rockwell in Vice.
What was the Academy thinking? If you wanted to represent a Black Actor that actually deserved it, I can think of several others before Brian.

I thought he was the best performance in the movie actually. It felt lived in and personal. Also, there is a performance worse than Sam Rockwell in Vice in recent memory….at least in my opinion. J. K. Simmons last go around. Not saying tha the is not a talented actor,just saying he took the spot of a better performance and there was like 5 right there to choose from

I know that the norm is the best supporrting actress from the year prior giving the oscar to the winner of this category but is it too much to hope for Harrision Ford to do it? I want an Indiana Jones reunion in some form that night
