Gleeson deserves the win in this category. Keoghan overdoes the feeble minded routine to the point where it’s cringe, imo. Gives me Andrew Garfield Hacksaw Ridge vibes. I know that’s some peoples cup of tea, but not me lol. Gleeson also drives the plot in this movie, idk how you can think Farrell deserves but not him. They both should win

Having seen The Fabelmans today I’m completely baffled at Judd Hirsch’s nomination. It was a glorified cameo at best. Paul Dano would’ve been so much more deserving. Feels similar to the Judi Dench situation last year, but worse.

Atleast Judi Dench had somewhat of a constant presence in the film and two powerful scenes. The movie essentially rested on her to give an emotional end.

Judd Hirsch did NOTHING of that sort.  His scene was way overrated. Lydia Tár’s daughter did more in her role than him.

He’s old, white, and Jewish. That’s all you need to know lol. The academy namechecks just as much as critics choice

Wtf happened to critics choice? It wasn’t that long ago they went their own way and voted for the critically acclaimed. Now they’re Oscar prognosticators?

What a tender moment in a very layered comedic performance. Imagine thinking that this is undeserving.

It seems everything I read about this category is the same = Ke Huy Quan is a lock. He was very good in Everything Everywhere All at Once, but I’m hoping that somehow Barry Keoghan pulls off the win! I’m sure it doesn’t help that Gleeson is also nominated for the same movie, but supporting is where surprises often happen. Here’s hoping.

    Life is a thin thread.

Ke was not just doing what he did as a child. That is a blatant lie that makes me believe that you didn’t watch the film.

Now, now, it’s also possible that they never watched Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

I know that the norm is the best supporrting actress from the year prior giving the oscar to the winner of this category but is it too much to hope for Harrision Ford to do it? I want an Indiana Jones reunion in some form that night

That would be amazing or if it were someone from The Goonies.

So happy for her! And I can see this being her Oscars clip.

I would jump for joy if he or Gleeson won.
