It might make sense for her to do so but have you read anywhere that Mulligan is going Supporting for She Said? (Without knowing more, it’s hard to assess whether this would be category fraud.)

Nothing official but I remember someone on these forums mentioning that Jodi Kantor (Kazan’s role) felt like more of a lead in the book.

Kazan’s role in the book is a bit larger (she was on the Weinstein story first and seems to have personally met with more of the key witnesses) but I still think they are probably co-leads in the film, especially because Tom Pelphrey was cast as Twohey/Mulligan’s husband, an individual who barely, if at all, appears in the book. The screenplay seems to have beefed up the personal lives of several NY Times personnel. For example, an actress has been cast and is listed on IMDb who is playing the daughter of Rebecca Corbett, the key investigations editor, who is being played by Patricia Clarkson.
