Any biopic transformative Oscar bait performance this year that is guaranteed a win?
Let’s hope not. I don’t know about you, but I’m so sick of those boring roles

Both the film’s wiki page and this article indicate she had previously been attached but is not in the film: https://www.thewrap.com/anthony-hopkins-jeremy-strong-armageddon-time-james-gray/

Jessica Chastain instead of Cate Blanchett plays Trump’s sister in James Grey’s Armageddon Time.

The fact that her underwhelming prosthetics performance in Being The Ricardos generated so much Oscar buzz from day one and this one will probably ended up with only few critics nominations is pretty embarassing….
This is glorius darling.

It’s an extremely well-liked and somewhat against-type performance and she’s a beloved industry veteran who’s never been nominated. If EEAAO actually does become a bigger BP contender and they push that narrative, I could see it being in the cards.

I honestly don’t know, but I would love it for her! Such a legend

May 29, 2022 at 8:23 am #1204966679With a strong traction, the supporting nods may show up. Hsu was great, but Curtis was also that. I dunno. Its tricky to answer such a questions when most of this years movies aren’t released yet

While I think Hsu is more deserving I’d love to see both get in. Jamie Lee should already be a 2 time Oscar nominee for True Lies and A Fish Called Wanda

I’ve had her predicted for ages since I’ve heard her role is meatier than Chau’s (she plays the daughter).
