I really hope Michelle Williams is not put in supporting. Her performance is really bad it’ll be ashamed is she won over hong Chau, Foy, Buckley, Condon, or any of the other contenders. She should not be nominated at all supporting or leading

Huns, Michelle Williams is terrible but so is the fablemans. Both are Razzie worthy.

    Michelle Williams is winning

If nominated in Supporting, it could happen.

Oh yes darling… I hope everyone splits precursors here. There’s no clear frontrunner until the Oscar night… imagine how exciting that will be…

I think the recent Palmer and Monae wins are indicative of how incredibly wide open the Best Supporting Actress race is right now. It seems to be the least predictable of the four acting races.

The industry precursors will clarify things a bit, but I’m starting to wonder if there’s a morning where none of the Women Talking ladies are nominated.

Buckley/Foy could split and UAR’s lack of promotion is not doing them any favors.

White Michelle better hope the Oscars pull a Lakeith Stanfield on her and ignore her clownery lead nomination request/campaign and throw her in supporting to clean up this drought field.

EEAAO is more likely to get double noms for Hsu and Curtis. Women Talking is so bland and has so many supporting actresses, so confusing and will cancel one another out. I think only Foy makes it.

I think if this happens, then Women Talking is generally weaker than it was expected to be (meaning, it’s not top 5 in BP). And I still think it’s possible that its strength in Adapted Screenplay is making it look more favored than it will actually end up being.

Women Talking is being promoted just fine! It just got a Vanity Fair cover spread and will release wide in the last week of Dec, which will amplify the buzz.

BTW The Whale is releasing this Friday and A24 is barely promoting it. Fraser can still get in by virtue of his strength, but I am finding it incredibly hard for Chau to get a slot. The film is having screenings for industry but it’s radio silence otherwise (along with lukewarm response)
