And no clue what’s going on in that last slot LMAO. Am I overthinking and JLC is there after all? Jessie Buckley comeback like last year? Nina Hoss? Michelle Williams pulling a Lakeith? A crazy surprise like Lashana Lynch? I change my mind every two hours…

January 21, 2023 at 7:48 pm #1205256792I still can't get outta my head the spellbinding "eye performance" of Nina Hoss in TÁR. Subtle, silent, brief, yet full of emotions. Each glance a knife, a wound, a scream. A worthy contender for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nom. pic.twitter.com/Rzor5ERS98

January 21, 2023 at 8:10 pm #1205256806Despite finding the character too underdeveloped to warrant a nomination, I quite like Nina Hoss in Tár. But I’m laughing at the dramatics of that description “every glance a knife, a wound, a scream”.

There are a few performances in this bubble that even without much recognition so far incite more passion, and that make more sense to be nominated. But I’m going to predict her getting in anyway just to be safe.

A surprise nom will be very deserving…
