something to see that noms won’t matter much to win a screenplay like women talking , get out , eternal sunshine , her , sling blade , midnight in paris did to win over stronger movies but why it didn’t work for Licorice pizza is it because of the wga loss or the lack of an ensemble nom or the divisiveness of the movie ? after all women talking with 2 noms won screenplay over all quiet who had 9 noms

Although they were introduced on the show, they almost came across as commercials rather than part of a telecast. It went directly to other commercials after both without coming back to the stage first. Not sure if that is why.

Between EEAAO taking 7 and All Quiet taking 4, half of the BP nominees were left empty-handed. Tar, The Fabelmans, Banshees, Elvis and Triangle of Sadness all left with nothing.
