I really enjoyed the Oscars this year. I think this was easily the best show they have put on since 2020. The only things I really hated about the ceremony was the totally shameless in-show promo for the upcoming Little Mermaid and the unnecessary tribute to WB studios.
I do have one question about the ceremony though, where were all the “legacy surprises” we were promised heading into the show? I cannot recall anything during the show which honored the legacy of the films or actors who have won Oscars or the 95th anniversary of the Oscars themselves.
Considering this was their 95th anniversary, it felt like they barely did anything to even acknowledge it. Maybe they are saving everything special for a 100th year blowout.
