Like when Michaela Coel wrote, produced, directed and starred in her own show which became the runaway critical favourite of the year, and then proceeded to be snubbed by the HFPA and had to fight for acting nominations with the remaining awards groups? 💀

Say it louder for the people in the fucking back

Lol. Because she got her friends to campaign for her and it worked. If she wasn’t popular with them then she’d never be nominated.

    And Viola Davis didn’t?

Where are the images for each category? Enough with the power point presentation with only letters.

Snubbing viola and danielle was so disrespectful. Danielle especially deserved the nom!!

A little bit of Magic never hurt anybody.

Feel like we definitely got proof that The Fabelmans and Women Talking would have done better at BAFTA if they didn’t have ridiculous release dates

Who gives a shit about the HFPA?

Sadly this insidious industry cares, hence why the Golden Globes are still a thing despite how pathetic we all know the HPFA are.

    it would 🥰

and I’m curious where you got more than half from?

Yeoh, Chau, Hsu, Bassett, Henry, and Quan, So, 6/20 is more than half, or did I fail math?

    There’s more categories then acting..

Viola Davis snubbed over Andrea Riseborough??

    Don’t like this.

And how Judd Hirsch was even nominated over Paul Dano??

Do the Academy members hate Dano that much??

Andrea Riseborough is this year’s Sally Kirkland.

She’s even more left field than Kirkland lmao. Sally, at least, won LAFCA and GG. Andrea has a Chicago Film Critics Association and Spirit Award noms to back her Oscar nom.
