I’m EXTREMELY HAPPY for Michelle Yeoh and her being the 1st Asian nominated for Best Actress is PURE JOY and really hope and 🙏🙏🙏 she wins and YES it’s making headlines. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ BUT the thought of two Black actress being snubbed for two white actress is a HUGE SLAP IN THE FACE there and won’t bode well with other black celebrities.

Yeah, Deadwyler being snubbed really hurts. Sometimes, I think the academy just treats non-white as a homogenous lump. I really hope Deadwyler gets another shot. They could have just scrapped Williams’ basic wig performance and made room..svg” class=”emoji”

Ruben Ostlund. RUBEN F’N OSTLUND. Over James Cameron.

2022 was a great year for movies, despite the dumpster fire 🔥 the Oscars gave us. Astonishing in its badness. Andrea FREAKING Riseborough needs to get down on her knees and thank God because she is the luckiest person on the face of the earth.

Did you EVEN watch TO LESLIE???

I can’t believe I came 113th lol. I didn’t even think so deeply about some of my predictions/look at the forums too actively in the final stretch this year.

FYC: Better Call Saul, The English and The Good Fight in all categories including Emily Blunt, Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.

The CW to the Academy Awards pipeline

Better hit rate at the Oscars than the Emmys.

I thought Deadwyler was ok. I’d replace Michelle Williams with her but The Fabelmans was too strong a film to be dismissed. I didn’t think Deadwyler missing out what a major snub either way.

Cate, Michelle (Yeoh), Andrea were clearly the BEST of this group and anyone who actually saw To Leslie instead of just whining about its inclusion would know that.

The rest are all contending for the last 2 spots. Michelle Williams couldn’t miss because of the love for The Fabelmans. So it leaves the other 3 WOC to contend for the last spot. Not everything is about race. Get over it.

Danielle acted circles around Adrea and was certainly comparable (imo better) with Blanchett so shut up. Race does matter as Deadwyler gave the performance of the year in a baity role and still got snubbed

The worst snub was Paul Dano. It’s also the third time they’ve boned him like this. The industry must not like him or something lol

the male Emily Blunt except at least he has one of the EGOT nominations with an Emmy nom.

Keep believing in it whenever you favorite WOC doesn’t get nominated. The rest if us are celebrating the nominations of Yeoh, Henry, Chau, Hsu, Ke, de Armas, Bassett. Henry’s nomination is ESPECIALLY gratifying and well-deserved although some people are whining that he stole Paul Dano’s place. I thought Brian Tyree Henry was so good he ought to WIN Best Supporting Actor.

If Tom Cruise were black, you’d probably say his snub is racist too 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
