“Top Gun: Maverick” missing in Cinematography is really bizarre. #1 in Goldderby odds as well. Oopsy.

I’m happy that Mad-Eye Moody is now an Oscar nominated actor. Yay…

I’m sad for Dolly de Leon but happy for Triangle of Sadness especially the Best Picture And Best Directing nominations.

Andrea Riseborough’s inclusion eclipsed the Black actresses hopes. The power of white Academy members.

Fun fact: With Ana de Armas’ nomination for Blonde, this is the first time in nearly 50 years that an NC-17 rated film earned an acting nomination. The last time this happened was when Marlon Brando was nominated for Best Actor for Last Tango in Paris, back in 1973.

Really wish that people would not brag about getting snubs right, since others are clearly upset one way or the other.

This is one of the most mind-numbing screenplay nominations in years lol

I was right about Decision To Leave getting snubbed here. Yikes, sorry estrelas.

Two Asian films snubbed back to back: A Hero and Decision To Leave and people still say films from the East have a fair competition?

TGM’s cinematography was amazing, but its screenplay is basically:

    “pew pew.”

    “woosh.”

    “pew pew.”

A Hero was deservedly snubbed for being a work of plagiarism

The Judd Hirsch nomination is just vintage academy. He’s a veteran in a movie they liked, and he’s white and old. Like 99% of the academy voters lol. Just as bad as JK Simmons last year. It’s almost like they have a requirement for a lazy, uninspired nomination once a year

The biggest surprise for me this year was the music branch and costume branch going for EEAAO, although it kind of makes sense in retrospect. Musicians are weird as hell and Costume people are cool as hell.

I support EEAAO nomination for Best Costume Design. Their costumes added to the characters especially Curtis’. She’s so memorable with that yellow turtleneck and I think it will be good Halloween costume.

This is such a cool stat. I had my doubts but maybe she was clearly third the whole time
