With complete acceptance of the risk of eating crow, I really don’t think any Oppenheimer actors are going to be in play when we come around to Oscar season.

Same lineup as BAPS very early on, just swipe in Giamatti for Barry. It’s great to see Searchlight going in on Majors, though, and I really hope it pays off with a nom!

Yeah I mean, I was saying elsewhere recently that I think the “slap the stud” term is over-used and over-cited as a significant factor anyway and we’ve gotten far too liberal with applying it. But I especially don’t see it for Cooper at this age and stage of his career. He’s plenty established, respected, and recognized by his peers and awards bodies.

Maestro will definitely be his blitz play to finally win that Oscar. I have no problem with him winning but it seems just so perfectly awards-baity, Academy-friendly, easy lock nomination and frontrunner I’m half expecting it to blow up The Son style lmao. It’s usually the ones that seem like the surest bets on paper.
