If Gosling won an Oscar for this. I think it would hurt his overall career. Studios probably wouldn’t take him that seriously anymore. But I doubt he even gets nominated without a BP Nom. For Barbie. Doubt the Academy members go for it.

These proposed correlations don’t even make sense.

So the studios are not going to take him seriously for winning an Oscar?

And who’s to say the studios are taking him seriously at the moment? It’s not 2014 anymore and his upcoming projects are not evidence of the industry taking him seriously for Oscar-bait roles.
