Colman Domingo is perfectly cast as Mister in The Color Purple. He has potential to be a double nominee. This role doesn’t scream “winner”. Especially compared to Rustin. But I think he could at least receive a nomination.

I know the Oscars would never reward a performance like that, but I doubt an actor will give a more impressive physical performance this year than Donnie Yen in John Wick 4. Not just his fighting skills, but the way every movement and gesture inhabits the character's blindness.

This is not his first rodeo. With his track record, an Oscar for an out of the box role won’t lead to him suddenly losing the kinds of roles he’s played before. If anything, it might lead to him being cast in more diverse roles than before.

No part of his manhood is threatened just because he stars as a doll in a female-helmed movie lol.
