I hope BPM takes a lot of awards. It deserves recognition after Oscar snub.

2 more awards have been announced:

Best Actor: Swann Arlaud, Bloody Milk

Best Documentary: I Am Not Your Negro

I love Swann Arlaud!!!! Really happy about his win!

I am hoping 120 Beats per Minute wins Best Film and Best Director. I am expecting Jeanne Balibar to win Best Actress; these are the last 3 categories yet to announced…

a major upset in the Best Director category:

Best Director: Albert Dupontel, See You Up There

I guess they felt giving Robin Campillo 3 awards in one night was too much, so they split it and gave a 2nd award to actor turned director Albert Dupontel for his period film set in the aftermath of World War I.

    As expected:

    Best Actress: Jeanne Balibar, Barbara

interesting and unusual – all 6 acting winners were first time winners this year.

Best Film: 120 Beats per Minute

So 120 Beats per Minute won the most awards with 6, followed by See You Up There with 5, Bloody Milk with 3 and Barbara with 2 awards. Satisfying. Disappointed that Robin Campillo did not win Best Director but otherwise an excellent list of winners! (:

Fantastic winners, I love this ceremony. I heard that there are new rules that do not allow a movie to win both director and picture, maybe that’s why Robin Campillo lost.

^where did you hear that rule? I have noticed that Best Film and Best Director have been going to different films for a number of years in a row…
