If they have an Oscars family album for the 90th anniversary, here are the 156 living actresses and actors who would be eligible to return…

If they do the “welcome to the club” again – based on actors who have acted alongside the nominees:

    Leading Actor:

    Daniel Day-Lewis (Leonardo DiCaprio)
    Daniel Kaluuya (Forest Whitaker)
    Gary Oldman (Colin Firth)
    Denzel Washington (Tom Hanks)

    Leading Actress:
    Sally Hawkins (Cate Blanchett)
    Frances McDormand (Diane Keaton)
    Margot Robbie (Emma Stone)
    Saoirse Ronan (Susan Sarandon)
    Meryl Streep (Cher)

    Supporting Actor:
    Willem Dafoe (Christian Bale)
    Woody Harrelson (Mahershala Ali)
    Richard Jenkins (Michael Caine)
    Christopher Plummer (Jim Broadbent)
    Sam Rockwell (George Clooney)

    Supporting Actress:
    Mary J.Blige (Catherine Zeta-Jones)
    Allison Janney (Mary Steenburgen)
    Lesley Manville (Angelina Jolie)
    Laurie Metcalf (Estelle Parsons)
    Octavia Spencer (Viola Davis)

Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu & Cuaron presenting Best Director: “and the winner is… Christopher Nolan” plop!

More realistically like: Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu & Cuaron presenting Best Director: “and the winner is… Paul Thomas Anderson.”

Guild snubs be damned, the movie was released late as f**k, and I have been debating for some time if Del Toro could lose to PTA… and then I bring myself back to the world of reality. No, he won’t. No one can beat Del Toro for Directing. Wishful thinking on my part, but hopefully one of these days PTA will earn gold in a competitive category and not some end of career “honorary Oscar” bullshit.

Note to myself: Don’t ever feed the trolls. Don’t get involved in others drama. Don’t let myself be swayed by others predictions, trust my gut more often!

Note to all others: If you don’t happen to like me, ignore me. It is that simple.

Still no news on any presenters? I read on the wiki page that the performers of the nominated songs are set.

We are hearing rumors that only 3 songs will be performed: “Greatest Showman,” “Coco,” “Mudbound.” The producers are obligated by the music branch to either perform zero, three or five for each ceremony.

This… would not be a good decision on the Academy’s part, cutting two black performers and the only song from a Best Picture nominee- an LGBT one at that . Hope they’re ready for the online backlash.

Goldderby is going to be so pissed if Stevens doesn’t perform, and they should be. Why is it so hard to just do all 5 every year?

If they’re nominated, they should be allowed to perform. Definitely not appropriate to choose 3 but not the other 2. I am wondering why details are not forthcoming. Usually the announcement of presenters trickles out gradually.
