Tommy Wiseau presenting the Best Picture award.
Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu & Cuaron presenting Best Director: “and the winner is… Christopher Nolan” plop!
More realistically like: Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu & Cuaron presenting Best Director: “and the winner is… Paul Thomas Anderson.”
Guild snubs be damned, the movie was released late as f**k, and I have been debating for some time if Del Toro could lose to PTA… and then I bring myself back to the world of reality. No, he won’t. No one can beat Del Toro for Directing. Wishful thinking on my part, but hopefully one of these days PTA will earn gold in a competitive category and not some end of career “honorary Oscar” bullshit.
Note to myself: Don’t ever feed the trolls. Don’t get involved in others drama. Don’t let myself be swayed by others predictions, trust my gut more often!
Note to all others: If you don’t happen to like me, ignore me. It is that simple.February 5, 2018 at 9:08 pm #1202488244
I heard Sufjan Stevens wasn’t offered to perform.February 14, 2018 at 4:26 pm #1202494059
Still no news on any presenters? I read on the wiki page that the performers of the nominated songs are set.February 14, 2018 at 8:50 pm #1202494133
We are hearing rumors that only 3 songs will be performed: “Greatest Showman,” “Coco,” “Mudbound.” The producers are obligated by the music branch to either perform zero, three or five for each ceremony.February 14, 2018 at 9:01 pm #1202494137

This… would not be a good decision on the Academy’s part, cutting two black performers and the only song from a Best Picture nominee- an LGBT one at that . Hope they’re ready for the online backlash.February 14, 2018 at 9:08 pm #1202494140
Goldderby is going to be so pissed if Stevens doesn’t perform, and they should be. Why is it so hard to just do all 5 every year?February 14, 2018 at 9:10 pm #1202494141
If they’re nominated, they should be allowed to perform. Definitely not appropriate to choose 3 but not the other 2. I am wondering why details are not forthcoming. Usually the announcement of presenters trickles out gradually.
