Isle of Dogs, Incredibles 2, and Wreck-It-Ralph 2 are shoe-ins (unless Ralph sucks, which is highly unlikely), but what about the 2 other slots?

I don’t know about what will win, I just want Isle of Dogs to sweep the Oscars this year. I saw it 3 freaking times in theaters and loved it slightly more each time. If it doesn’t WIN Original Music Score I’m gonna be sick.

For your Goldderby Film Awards consideration: Isle of Dogs for every category, especially Music Score for Alexandre Desplat!

I feel like lately there is always at least one indie foreign film that gets in. What will be the “Breadwinner” of this year?

This year is a relatively weak year for animated film.

Tito and the Birds seems to me like the likeliest candidate so far. There’s also Big Fish and Begonia.

GKIDS is releasing “Mirai” this fall, from the director of “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.” Wouldn’t be surprised if they worked their magic and got Mirai an Oscar nomination.
