This doesn’t have anything to do with Twitter. Bailey just can’t run the Academy, and him and that hypocritical director that took peoples’ time to watch him propose at the Emmys are desperate for ad buys and ratings.

An amazing observation that the four categories not being presented live have ZERO nominations for ABC. I’m convinced the Sound Categories are being presented live, along with Costume Design and Production Design, because of Black Panther.

This has ABC’s dirty hands all over it. They are a disgrace, these producers are a disgrace, and the Academy President has no spine. These are the worst Oscars in the history of Oscars and all of us NEED to boycott them.

ABC is manipulating AMPAS. What a disgrace. Bailey should step down after the ceremony is over. Bring back Isaacs or at least the board of governors elect new one.

I can’t believe they will not televise Cinematography and Film Editing. They can choose the Short categories instead. Damn this year’s Oscar season. Too full of sh..!

Wow. I’d like to think it’s purely coincidental. After all, ABC also had no nominations in Documentary Short and could have cut that out too, but didn’t. On twitter another user pointed out that the 3 of the 4 categories not presented live were also the lowest grossing tech categories.

However, if this is actually true, then it would be completely out of the spirit of what the Oscars are meant to be about. It’s off-putting, to say the least.

Omg. I am so worried we’re going to see useless time-wasting antics like feeding popcorn or inviting pedestrians again. I would actually be so pissed when they could be presenting all the categories live instead. How could they not?Doesn’t the telecast run for 2-3 hours?; I’m sure they could do it even with the usual bombardment of commercials. Now I’m really wondering what’s on their presentation agenda…

Three tech categories where Disney has no nominations are cut. Two of those are considered highly important. If they had picked one of the two, it’d be different. Selecting both is just fishy.

Cinematography and Editing are two of the most important aspects of a movie. The Academy should be ashamed, honestly. I am so disappointed.

Emmys 2019 FYC: Lena Headey ("Game of Thrones"), Cicely Tyson ("HTGAWM"), Viola Davis ("HTGAWM"), Richard Madden ("Bodyguard"), "Bodyguard," "The Haunting of Hill House" & "Escape at Dannemora" in all categories

Yes maybe it is true. Omg that would actually be so annoying and disappointing. Like i said above, this is not what the Oscars should be about.

If I were a member of those branches I will quit my membership. It’s really shameful. I feel sorry for this year’s nominees of those categories. I know they feel like their craft has been ignored big time.

Oh and what would the Oscar broadcast even look like without the editors cutting this mess together. Maybe they should get rid of those two, they obviously don’t care about them.

On the Tony Awards they show a brief clip of the winner (of the design categories) with a sentence or two of their acceptance speech, so we get to see them win. I am an advocate of either beginning the broadcast earlier in the day or splitting the broadcast into two: an afternoon broadcast where film fanatics such as ourselves can watch the technical awards categories in full, 4-6 p.m., then come back for another broadcast 8-10 p.m. EST for the other awards. My reason is that the broadcast often ends after midnight and most of my friends and family never get to see the top categories since they need to get up early in the morning for work or school. That would be a fair solution.

Nonsense. The voting period just started and ABC has no way of knowing if Black Panther is going to win either of the 2 categories that will be shown live. It’s just slicing categories willy-nilly.

If any of these presenters are assigned to Editing, Cinematography, Makeup & Hairstyling or Live Action Short, we won’t even get to see them on the telecast! This ceremony will be such a disappointment to us devoted Oscar fans…there has to be a better way.
