Having seen Poppins, it’s safe to say “Shallow” has this locked-up. It deserves to win and will be Gaga’s consolation prize for losing Lead Actress. I do hope “The Place Where Lost Things Go” gets nominated though. The song/moment made me emotional while watching the film.

    Golden Globes
Best Original Song – Motion Picture
    “All the Stars” (“Black Panther”)
    “Girl in the Movies” (“Dumplin’”)
“Requiem For a Private War” (“A Private War”)
    “Revelation’ (“Boy Erased”)
    “Shallow” (“A Star Is Born”)

I see that Revelation, Shallow, and All the Stars are getting nominated everywhere. IMO those have the Oscar nom on lock.

This is going to be a close battle between “Shallow” and “All the Stars”. Both received Record and Song of the Year nominations.

    It’s Kendrick vs Gaga.

Not yet. “All the Stars” received the same nominations, and is a bigger hit than “Shallow”. Kendrick Lamar is also an inspired choice because of the lyrical content.

Come on, Shallow is a lock because this is how the academy is going to reward Gaga. Unless she wins Best Actress, which I don’t see happening.

all the stars got the nominations because it’s a bigger hit, shallow literally dropped 3 days before the deadline and got in two of the biggest categories, I don’t think that’s ever been pulled off before

    It’s Kendrick vs Gaga.

It was always Kendrick vs. Gaga, people tried to add other contenders but all of them failed on the way.

Gaga gets the edge for her song actually being relevant to the movie as a whole. All the Stars might be a hit, but it plays during the credits. If it’s close, they will give it to the song that’s in the movie proper/is representative of the film as a whole.

That and Shallow’s film is poised to pick up more above-the-line nominations than All the Stars’ film.
