Acclaimed actors/actresses without any major critics award (NYFC, LAFC,NSFC,NBR)

Actors without any major awards from NY Film Critics, LA film Critics, NAtional society of film critics and National Board of Review (I know they are not film critics but it is a major award). Other critics awards are more or less joke and it is always funny when come Oscar time many here count them as equal even though any of these four is worth more than other combined (Boston and Chicago are also respected though).

I will start with Nicole Kidman. She never won any of these. I personally find Kidman overrated but it is weird considernig her acclaim at least on forums like these she never actually won. Natalie Portman also.
I almost said Tilda Swinton, but she won National Board for Kevin.
What are some other actors you found weird never won big with critics.

I don’t count National Board of Review as they are a joke – they aren’t even film critics.

Also please note that the list only includes Oscar winners since 1975 when the LA film critics first started. Unfair to include Oscar winners prior to that year or Oscar winners that have passed away since.

Thank you for the list. Paquin did win LAFC (shared it with Rosie Perez). Michael Douglas also won LA for Wonder Boys I beleive

Must say that the biggest surprise of all is that Maggie Smith has never won anything from the big three.

Bates won Best Actress from Chicago Film Critics Association for Misery and Supporting Actress for Primary Colors.

A couple of interesting little pieces of trivia. Frances McDormand won Oscars for Fargo & Three Billboards, didn’t any major critics awards for them but did for Almost Famous. Same with Julianne Moore – wins from critics with Boogie Nights & Far From Heave, Oscar for Still Alice.

Why is the NBR considered a joke? Who belongs to it? They do pick some interesting winners sometimes that go on to Oscar while none of the other groups pick them. (Halle Berry and Juliette Binoche come to mind.)
