Is it a requirement to create these threads once a month in the movies forum, adding lots of your white faves with a few token Black men (and hardly any Black women)? There’s no imagination in these threads at all, stating that x flavor of the month is getting nommed/winning in the future is neither insightful nor interesting.

Do you all create these threads so it’s easier to quote if your boring, mainstream choices get nominated the following year for bragging rights? Genuine question.

I bet only one or none of these choices will win the Oscar in the next decade, is impossible to predict who will win, i never knew who Jennifer Lawrence was until she won that Oscar, same with Brie Larson, i never thought Rami Malek or Kristen Stewart will be Oscar winners, i never heard of Eddie Redmayne until i saw him in the movie for which he won the Oscar. I’ve heard of Jean Djardan but i think he was more famous in France, and the list goes on.
