Inspired by this thread that’s been doing the round in Twitter, whom are some actors and actress (age 30 and under) that you see being eventual Oscar winners.

    Emma Corrin

Thomasin McKenzie (Might win in 2023)

Zendaya (Too big of a name and millions of stans)

    One of Fanning sisters

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Saoirse Ronan and Thomasin McKenzie will since both have “Oscar bait” coming in 2022. Ronan’s recent mistery movie has just wrappes production and words have it that they are going to have awards friendly release date (Searchlight is the distributor).

<p style=”text-align: left;”>McKenzie has biopic (Perfect) coming up (also under Searchlight distribution) with Olivia Wilde directing. Production began in early 2022 according to Deadline. It could be either for 2023 awards season or 2024. Studios were going crazy over its script and Searchlight won the distribution rights. It screams something like “I, Tonya” to me.

Cant say the same about Anya unless her project with Scott Frank will be released in fall 2022

It’s difficult to predict but I’m going with Thomasin McKenzie for now.

There are many options in the category of best actress, but I don’t think any male in the best actor category is going to win any time soon, the Academy doesn’t like to reward male actors that are too young except if they’re in the supporting category.

Usually true, but Adrien Brody was 29 when he won.

Yeah and that was 20 years ago, is very unusual

It was a complete upset too since he didn’t win any precursors. The industry was very not much behind him as the Academy was suggesting there is still a hesitation to reward young actors in the Best Actor category.

And he’s the youngest winner in that category, the only man in his 20’s to win the Best Actor award at the Oscars

I agree. I think the disparity is partly due to the sexism of middle-aged and older male voters liking to watch pretty young females….
