What are some actors who should get more roles? Some of the ones who come to mind are Allison Williams, Daisy Ridley, Blake Lively, Salma Hayek, Alison Brie, Liv Tyler, and Connie Nielsen.

Salma Hayek: I know Hayek is an Oscar nominee and has been around for decades, but she’s made a lot of bad movies over the past years, and I was surprised she got cast in House of Gucci because she doesn’t get these kind of roles anymore.

Blake Lively: I’m not a big Lively fan but she was huge during the Gossip Girl era.

Liv Tyler: Tyler has faded away post-LOTR, which saddens me.

Allison Williams: Out of all the cast members of Girls, only Adam Driver has enjoyed the most success. I know Williams was in Get Out, but I hope she gets more opportunities.

Connie Nielsen: I feel like Nielsen being a part of the Wonder Woman franchise has given her a career boost, and could help her secure more roles.

Daisy Ridley: I’m surprised she hasn’t become as in-demand as others close to her age, especially when you consider the Star Wars fame.

David Oyelowo can practically do anything. From Shakespeare to Martin Luther King to Javert in Les Miserables. It’s a shame he hasn’t been given more opportunities to continue to challenge himself and display his range.

Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!

Addison Timlin: Great performance in Little Sister, but I guess Fallen killed her mainstream career.

Margaret Qualley: I am a bit surprised that she hasn’t been given a lot of roles after The Nice Guys and Novitiate. She has like 10 minutes in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and she shines in that boring movie. She’ll star in a Netflix show called Maid and I hope it goes right for her.

Vincent Kartheiser: Unpopular opinion, but I always thought Kartheiser was the MVP of Mad Men. I always like to give credit to actors who play shitty people really well and his performance made Pete’s development arc even more believable.

Charlie Hunnam: Great in Sons of Anarchy and he was the only good thing about The Lost City of Z along with Pattinson.

Phylicia Rashad: Her television and stage work is so magnificent, if she had the same opportunities in film she would be a multiple Oscar nominee if not winner.

Whoopi Goldberg: Once the highest paid film actress, she is a master of comedy and drama. Unfortunately now she is regulated to low-budget, straight-to-video movies and guest spots on long running tv shows.

Angela Bassett: She has proven her talents several times over and yet we are still waiting for that role that takes her back to the circuit.

Lynn Whitfield: I don’t know how popular her work is on this site but I’ve been in awe of her passion since I was a kid. A supporting showcase would be perfect for this often overlooked actress.

Alfre Woodard: While she might not be considered overlooked or under -appreciated in the TV world, she surely is in the film world as of late. This woman’s talents warrants multiple Oscar nominations and wins. If only she were given those opportunities.

I was very disappointed that Chiwetel Ejiofor was not given more plum roles after 12 Years a Slave.

    He deserved to sweep.

Nah, Leo in WOWS should have swept and won. Now that was a performance for the ages, absolute GOAT.

Liv Tyler: Tyler has faded away post-LOTR, which saddens me

The general fading of most of LOTR cast is interesting to say the least. However, the one that really baffles me is Miranda Otto who was magnetic as Eowyn. It’s strange that Hollywood didn’t know what to do with her although aughts were golden years for Aussie posse.

I hope Hollywood hops on K wagon and bring in the impossibly good-looking drama actors.  I see that Netflix, Amazon and D+ are producing their own K dramas but that’s still in subtitles if you know what I mean. There are quite a few who speak really good English and did I mntion how good-looking they are? 🙂
