Blake Lively: I’m not a big Lively fan but she was huge during the Gossip Girl era.
She still is a huge star and 3/4 of her last films were box office hits just on her name alone.
She just doesn’t make them often.
Dear Emmys Voters
Television has never been better and it’s a pandemic year.

For Lohan to make a comeback, someone has to take a chance with her, and even Tarantino who takes chances with hasbeens and Artonofsky who took a chance with Mickey never looked in that direction.
I know this will sound odd but I think that Marvel actors and actresses who play the same character for over a decade or almost as long and don’t do much outside of it should get more opportunities. I get that Wandavision is going to get Elizabeth Olsen an Emmy nom but that happened after a number of movies wasted her in this role. So yeah, give Marvel flock more opportunities, at least Olsen who is really talented. Scar-jo and Ruffalo balance it nicely so no complaints there.April 4, 2021 at 5:21 pm #1204175925
Michael B Jordan needs to be cast in a very dramatic role that can take him to the Oscars. Something similar to Fruitvale Station, but more prestigious

Jennifer Lopez proved that with the right role she could earn Oscar buzz. Hollywood needs to start offering her better scripts instead of crappy romantic comedies.April 4, 2021 at 6:52 pm #1204176822
Watching Franco Zeffirelli’s epic TV serial Jesus of Nazareth with the family for Easter.
All I have to say is that Robert Powell and James Farentino should’ve received more opportunities following their BAFTA and Emmy-nominated performances as Jesus and Simon Peter, respectively. Olivia Hussey wasn’t nominated for anything for her performance as the Virgin Mary, but she deserves an honorable mention. Same for Michael York as John the Baptist.April 4, 2021 at 7:21 pm #1204177305
Liv Tyler: Tyler has faded away post-LOTR, which saddens me.
Check out her (in my opinion) career-best work in The Leftovers (2014-2017).

After so many great TV performances, I’m surprised Sarah Paulson isn’t receiving prominent roles in major movies. She can easily win an Oscar with the right project.April 5, 2021 at 4:13 am #1204178824
One other Girls cast member I forgot to mention is Zosia Mamet. I know she’s in The Flight Attendant, but I want her to get more movie roles.April 5, 2021 at 5:00 am #1204178907

Most have have some good roles on TV but I’d like to see them get more and better roles in films.April 5, 2021 at 5:41 am #1204178964

I mean, she’s been in her fair share of prestige films with decent roles, but they just haven’t connected in terms of awards. 12 Years A Slave and Carol come to mind. Other actors took all the attention. She got a supporting role in The Post that wasn’t as juicy as hoped (let’s face it, it was designed to only allow Streep and Hanks to do much of note). I think The Goldfinch could/should have been her biggest break in prestige movie as far as awards contention, but it turned out to be a disaster. But had things gone right, maybe she is in the running for a Supporting Actress Oscar or nomination.
She’s had shots, but simply hasn’t stood out enough or been unlucky. You got to be like Viola Davis and take your shot when the opportunity arises, even if the role is tiny. Davis used 6 minutes of screen time in Doubt to dominate Meryl Streep onscreen, and that paved the way for to become an awards season juggernaut in movies.April 5, 2021 at 5:53 am #1204178980
