I would prefer to say Brooklyn catapulted her status as a “serious” adult actress, not necessarily saved her career. I don’t think her career was dying at that time, but more like taking careful steps transitioning into adult roles. It can be difficult to find good, Oscar-worthy part when you are around 15-20 years old.
I absolutely loved Brooklyn and Saorise. I think that’s my favorite film with her in it. Such a quiet, poignant perf and film.

I don’t even know she had done what before that.

He hasn’t been able to reach those heights again in his career, but he’s never stopped working either. It at least sustained his career, if not particularly “saved” it, but I think it did both.

Regardless of her 2 Tonys, 3 Emmys in the 30 years since Dangerous Liaisons, her films career definitely took a hiatus and it wasn’t until 2018 that she got that deserving late career boost and her relevance is finally back to the public’ eyes. She even attended the MET Gala for the first time this year
*3 Tonys actually.

Not huge. It’s funny Emma Watson turned down LLL

Emma Stone was a huge star before LLL. Nothing changes in her career if Watson or another actress got the role.

Yes Vin. I was merely speaking of Drew who imo was the best person in the first film.

Jason Momoa in Aquaman
Margot Robbie in I Tonya
Michael B Jordan in Black Panther. F4 almost killed his career!
