Basically, there are so many actors/actresses out there who could have been the best, and still can. Some missed out due to bad roles, some missed out due to personal struggles and some missed out due to either being snubbed or not being taken seriously.
Can you guys think of any?March 15, 2017 at 1:28 pm #1202037825
I’m gonna let Sasha finish this one, but an actress who could have had it all has gotta be Cameron Diaz.
Brilliant actress who had great performances in the likes of In Her Shoes and My Sisters Keeper to name a few. She should have a few Golden Globes under her belt as well as at least one Golden Dildo.
Another actor would be Aaron Eckhart, if he had the right role, he would most certainly be an Oscar winner.March 15, 2017 at 1:48 pm #1202037837
Lindsay Lohan 250%. She could’ve been cast in some of the best roles of her career after Mean Girls, and probably could’ve been nominated for/won an Oscar or two. But, she blew it after she started partying and doing drugs with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.March 15, 2017 at 1:57 pm #1202037845
Lindsay Lohan. All the potential that girl had all went to waste.March 15, 2017 at 2:27 pm #1202037859
Someone that always comes to my mind with this question is Katie Jarvis. Now I don’t mean to say starting a family young is disgraceful or prevents one from future success, but she was pretty much handed a career with Andrea Arnold’s BAFTA-winning Fish Tank opposite Michael Fassbender and kind of blew it. Almost makes me think she wasn’t all that different from her character Mia.. but oh well.March 15, 2017 at 2:28 pm #1202037860
There is still hope, she gave a great performance in Mamma Mia!, Lovelace and Les Miserables.
She needs to stop with the romantic comedies etc. and get a serious role. I still think there are future nominations and even wins for her.March 15, 2017 at 3:11 pm #1202037868
Another actor would be Aaron Eckhart, if he had the right role, he would most certainly be an Oscar winner.
He was promoting his Frankenstein movie on Howard Stern. His interview was vulgar to his famous female costars. I know many abhorrent men waltz into awards recognition and fame. But sometimes some people never breakthrough because they are ugly behind the scenes too early before having the agency of success to allow them to be horrible out in the open (Mel Gibson).March 15, 2017 at 3:14 pm #1202037869
Miss America Sweetheart of the late 80s/90s was rom-com queen and literally fell off the face of earth once she messed up her face and she hasn’t tried anything diff after In The Cut and hasn’t been in a movie since 2010. She’s not the best actress but it’s so tragic where her career is now.March 15, 2017 at 3:37 pm #1202037884
Oh. Amanda Seyfried.
I like her a lot but her filmography is pretty bad. She has just 2 (two) romantic comedies, Dear John and Letters to Juliet, and honestly those are not the problem. More than serious roles (because she has really good comedy sense and she is lovely as a romantic lead) I think is about to get involved in better projects with better directors. Be picky! Don’t do crappy movies that look utterly crap since scratch.
Her last promising thing was… While We’re Young with Noah Baumbach? And that didn’t completely worked but that was the way!March 15, 2017 at 3:40 pm #1202037889
Heath Ledger.March 15, 2017 at 3:55 pm #1202037905
If Sean Young hadn’t harassed Oliver Stone, Warren Beatty, James Woods and Tim Burton, among others, I suspect she could’ve had one hell of a career.
OSCAR FLASHBACK: 20 Years of Streep (1979 – Kramer vs. Kramer)
Her eccentricities didn’t match her talent.
