Faye Dunaway got lucky. Such a mediocre actress who relied on her amazing presence in great parts for the most of her career.
She didn’t even deserve her win for Network. Liv Ullman and Sissy Spacek were vastly superior but Dunaway was the big star at the time.

In my opinion, this belongs in the “Unpopular Opinions thread.”

If she has an amazing presence, how is she a mediocre actress? I don’t think anybody could have played Diana Christensen with the sheer amount of perfection and audacity of that of Faye. It’s such a delicious performance. Liv Ullman and Sissy Spacek were popular in their own way.
