This will end up like joy or american hustle in terms of award nominations. The cast looks awesome.January 17, 2020 at 8:05 am #1203289069
Hopefully J.Law still comes onboard in at least a supporting role.
Have a great day if you see this!

Sigh…I thought he’d been exiled after being exposed as an arrogant wannabe-auteur hack. I’d rather watch Caniba on loop than sit through another of his narcissistic, obnoxious and offensive pantomimes.
Although I do sometimes re-watch the clip where Emmanuelle Riva won her BAFTA for the sheer entertainment of seeing his shameless reaction…so there could be some value in his return.
Antonio Banderas and Asier Etxeandia, Dolor y Gloria (Best Actor/Supporting Actor)
Emily Beecham, Little Joe (Best Actress)
Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren, The Good Liar (Best Actor/Actress)January 17, 2020 at 8:13 am #1203289109
His thirst for the Oscar gold is truly exhausting.
I don't trust her, Juan Antonio. Her eyes are not one color.January 17, 2020 at 8:34 am #1203289164
They need a professional break from each other.
Agreed. Lawrence was great in Silver Lining’s Playbook. Then she was fun in American Hustle, but still a little too distracting and cartoonish. It was clear this role that had minimal involvement in the actual history of these events was only as big a part as it was because Lawrence was playing it. And then came Joy, which was blatantly written to be a showcase for her, rather than an actually interesting story. Their relationship started to feel like Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. A team up that was initially exciting, but started to feel forced and detrimental to both parties. Anyway, I think they’re on bad terms now. Didn’t he treat her like shit while they were making Joy?January 17, 2020 at 8:38 am #1203289170
So assuming Lawrence or Adams will join soon in some way but all for Angelina getting her second Oscar win and Bale getting another nom 🙂January 17, 2020 at 8:52 am #1203289206
I just realized, Margot Robbie possibly being in this sounds like he’s done with Lawrence and moved on to the next A-list rising star blonde.January 17, 2020 at 8:58 am #1203289221
Can’t wait for another 2hours of hammy “look at me, I’m fast-talking my way to an Oscar nom !” scenesJanuary 17, 2020 at 8:58 am #1203289223

She has a Jean Hersholt (Oscar statuette). Jolie doesn’t need another competitive win unless she actually starts making good movies which was never really her thing.January 17, 2020 at 9:03 am #1203289238
Hopefully Bale finally gets a lead actor Oscar with this.January 17, 2020 at 9:20 am #1203289258
Amy Adams has been very candid about how he (mis)treated her on set. I cannot imagine she would be chomping at the bit to work for him again.
But yes, another self-indulgent grab for Oscar gold from an unhinged auteur? I’ll pass.
