Actually Thurman repeatedly begged Tarantino to not make her do the car stunt. She was terrified about it, but he made her do it anyway. On the day he had her do it, the stunts expert who would’ve been able to stop him was nowhere to be seen, which Thurman believes is due to Tarantino sending him away that day so he wouldn’t be able to stand in his way of getting Thurman to perform the stunt. I don’t know if that part is really true or not, but you gotta admit, it’s highly suspicious. Also, there’s not much point in defending Tarantino on this issue, as he’s gone in record saying that it’s the biggest regret of his life. I give Tarantino credit for saying so and apparently not doing something like that stunt again, but he’s not guiltless.
I was talking about Tarantino’s choking of women on-set. That was done with their consent.January 24, 2020 at 7:39 pm #1203303309
Brad Pitt for sure is gonna win best supporting actor this year. What would happen if Jolie is winning best supporting actress next year for this one….January 24, 2020 at 8:09 pm #1203303387

Alright, but your initial post was responding to a criticism concerning the choking (which I’m fine with since Diane Kruger agreed to it, along with the fact that it’s fake and wasn’t dangerous) and the car incident, so it sounded look you were saying that was done with Thurman’s permission.January 24, 2020 at 9:11 pm #1203303504

There’s no way Amsterdam is ready for release this year so it will be competing for Oscars in 2022 at the earliest.February 11, 2020 at 5:48 pm #1203343498

Is this the script that he was talking about during TIFF last year? One thing that surprises me is that Angelina Jolie is in it, it seemed to me that she was done with acting in non-children’s films and working on directing more.
there's way too many movies that i haven't seen and i'm stressedFebruary 12, 2020 at 3:41 am #1203343923

I said the same thing before. He’s gone from one huge rising star blonde to another. I think O. Russell and Lawrence are done with each other. Regardless of whether or not they had conflict while filming Joy, the film’s lukewarm response hurt both of them. Those two not working together is a good thing. Their initial partnership seemed promising, but it quickly started to feel forced. Lawrence’s role in American Hustle likely wouldn’t have played as large a role as it did if she wasn’t playing her, which also caused one of the most oddly self indulgent scenes I’ve ever witnessed in a Best Picture nominee (I’m referring to the out of nowhere angry cleaning dance). Then Joy was blatantly made to be a star vehicle for her, with O. Russell seemingly forgetting to make an engaging story rather than just showcasing his muse. Their partnership reminds me a lot of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, only an extremely fast forwarded version of it. They started out great and exciting, then still had a high level of quality, then their work together started to go a bit downhill, but still had enough highs to balance it out, but then ended up feeling extremely forced and beneficial to neither party.February 12, 2020 at 4:55 am #1203344000
This might come on late 2020?
