I wanted to wait until more time pass but I’ll just say it…

    Spiderman instead of BlacKkKlansman

I just love movies. And awards.

-Wall-E should have made it in over almost any nominee that year, mostly Frost Nixon

-Inside Out should have been nominated and won in its year

    -Snow White

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, it’s better than all of the BP nominees this year sans The Favourite.

“Wall-E”- It was my choice as best picture of its year and certainly could have replaced “The Reader” or “Frost/Nixon”.

“The Iron Giant” and “Toy Story II”- 1999 was a terrible year for best picture nominees so these could have replaced almost any of them.

“Toy Story”- Again better than most of the 1995 best picture nominees and especially the winner, “Braveheart”.

“The Lion King”- I like it more than any of the 1994 best picture nominees except for “Pulp Fiction”.

“The Incredibles”- Better than almost all of the nominees but certainly more deserving than “Ray” or “Finding Neverland”.

“Finding Nemo”- Trade it out for “Seabiscuit”.

“Bambi”- A lot of classic films in the 1942 line-up but “Bambi” is still better than almost all of them. I am no fan of the dull “Mrs. Miniver” or cloying “Pride of the Yankees” but even if you kept those for sentimental reasons, you could get rid of “The Pied Piper” which has been forgotten. I have seen almost every major Oscar nominee and even I have never seen that.

“Pinocchio”- Again better than most of the nominees, including several classics, but I would easily get rid of “Kitty Foyle” or “Our Town”.

“The Little Mermaid”- A lousy year for best picture nominees, though a great year for movies, and I would knock out any of the nominees for “Mermaid”. Replace some other slots with “Do the Right Thing”, “Crimes and Misdemeanors” and “Henry V”.

“Inside Out”- I don’t dislike any of the 2015 best picture nominees but would still choose “Inside Out” over almost all of them.

“Chicken Run”- Better than the best picture winning “Gladiator” and way better than “Chocolat”.

“Persepolis”/”Ratatouille”- I prefer “Persepolis” to “Ratatouille” but I would say both are better than “Michael Clayton” and probably “Atonement” as well.

“Aladdin”- Much better than “Scent of a Woman” or “A Few Good Men”.
