    According to anonymous ballots,

    1. CODA is leading in BP
    2. Campion is leading in Director but Spielberg follows her, their votes are so close
    3. Cruz is leading and then follow Stewart and Chastain
    4. Smith is leading and then follow Cumberbatch and Garfield who are head to head
    5. Dunst is leading and then comes DeBose
    6. Kotsur is leading by a mile and then comes Smit-McPhee
    7. TPOTD is leading, CODA is following and then comes Drive My Car in Adapted Screenplay
    8. The Worst Person in the World is leading, Belfast and Don’t Look Up follow it in Original Screenplay
    9. Flee and The Worst Person in the World are head to head and then comes Drive My Car in International Feature
    10. Flee is leading in Animated
    11. Flee and Summer of Soul are head to head in Documentary

Hmmm. Dunst does seem to have a lot of industry goodwill.

CODA is leading with #1 votes in BP, but that doesn’t really mean it’s leading altogether.

Hr’s friends with Steven. So his ballot makes sense.
    Look Up Jonny Greenwood please.
Flee is good but not for the win.

What a chaotic year… the worst part is that there are beautifully made movies but realistically non of them have a lot of rewatch value. I’ll probably have to watch Dune again before the next one comes out, but just to refresh my memory. Other than that it’ll probably be years, if ever, before I rewatch any of the nominated films for best picture.

I would really love it if Cruz won, her work has always been on point and this year was not the exception, but at this point I feel like I’ll be surprise no matter who wins best actress just because that category is all over the place and I particularly enjoyed all of the performances.

Yes, it’s so chaotic this year. Especially, BP, Actress, Original and Adapted Screenplay are so chaotic. Recently, Director and Score got chaotic, too. I just think if the Academy would have nominated The Worst Person in the World for BP and Renate Reinsve as Best Actress, maybe it wouldn’t have been this chaotic. Honestly, I’d be happy if Chastain or Stewart or Cruz won because I liked watching all of their performances.

As a Campion and Drive My Car fan, yeah no. And the person is voting for Jesse Plemons lmao.

I meant more for the fact that the voter is so vehemently upset at the Academy. 🙂

DeBose will still probably win Supporting Actress but Dunst leading in the Anonymous ballots? All TPOTD cast are obviously runner-ups. I think ballots we get later on will give us a better insight. I’ll presume people that gravitate towards WSS will have TPOTD high up.

I think what makes me fascinated about ballots voting for Don’t Look Up is how high brow they tend to be skewing in other categories. One of the ballots voted for The Power of the Dog everywhere but checked it off as opposed to Licorice Pizza or The Worst Person in the World in original screenplay. There’s been an assumption for most of the season that the support behind the film was largely populist but looking at these ballots, it seems to have a lot of high brow appeal. Which in hindsight isn’t too surprising considering how well it did at BAFTA.

don’t hate me y’all I love TPOTD and Drive My Car (my top 2) and yet I really liked DLU but didn’t like Licorice Pizza and TWPITW😭.

DLU is really well liked outside of the US, especially in Latin America (where I’m from)
