January 6, 2022 at 8:50 pm #1204701777I was just thinking the other day about how she’d be a good fit for this. Weird.
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 6, 2022 at 8:56 pm #1204701785Seems Guadagnino beat Larraín to it haha. But wow, she’s pretty much the most common actress who’s fan-casted for Audrey Hepburn, so it’s exciting to see it actually come to fruition! She’s going to do excellent.

January 6, 2022 at 9:10 pm #1204701802So tired of this lazy biopics… also I’m not the greatest fan of Guadagnino…
But Rooney is PERFECT for the role. She will deliver !
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 6, 2022 at 9:13 pm #1204701805Heh, I was thinking when I saw the Canadian film Maria de Chapdelaine late last year that the actress looked like a dead ringer for Audrey in a lot of shots (as seen here).
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 6, 2022 at 9:17 pm #1204701809I know it likely won’t happen because three biopics starring young actresses winning a row would get too boring, but oof Kristen Stewart as Diana, Naomi Ackie as Whitney, and Rooney Mara as Audrey would be an ICONIC Best Actress run.

I noticed Lily Collins gets fan-cast a lot on social media as Audrey as well.

What’s wrong with biopics? I like to see an icon’s life put on film and immortalized in this way.

January 6, 2022 at 10:02 pm #1204701855Idk… Mara is a good actress, but she has a degree of social awkwardness about her and isn’t as sophisticated as Hepburn.
I do think Lily Collins is the far more obvious and (frankly) much better choice.

She might be awkward in real life but that’s the reason she’s an actress, lol, and i see Rooney more sophisticated than Lilly, is like she was born with class.

I’m so tired of biopics these days, but let’s see how this movie goes.

I prefer Rooney in this role and I’m not even that into her as an actress, she just has a more demure sensibility that fits. Lily seems too modern?
