I reaaaaaaly dug Brolin in this. He’d be worthy of some recognition of his performance here.April 27, 2018 at 8:48 am #1202536409

Amazing Film. The last 40 minutes might be the best in a superhero movie ever.
I read the original comics, and I knew what might happen but the film was great in the emotional punch it brought to the story and the characters. The ending was perfect.

Dr. Strange vs Thanos scene was epic…April 27, 2018 at 4:36 pm #1202536727
I thought it was great, with the usual superhero movie complaints.
I will use Okoye’s fantastic line “Why wasn’t she down here during all this” (or whatever she said exactly) when refering to Scarlet Witch.
If you apply Okoye’s reasoning to the whole film (the glove situation on Titan, somebody just punch Quill in the face or throw some ray or spiderweb on him, how easily Thor could’ve helped Scarlet by blocking/defending her while she was killing Vision, Thor not aiming for Thanos’ head – when has anybody ever done that in a film to end things quickly) this thing would’ve been over in half an hour and Thanos would’ve been destroyed easily. But where’s the fun in that?
There were MANY eye rolling moments, mainly comedic fails, romantic fails, Gamora fails, Peter Dinklage’s casting fails!!!!!….but of course nobody goes after Marvel like they do other studios (wink).
I don’t know. A lot to criticize, but a lot to like and have fun with.
Thanos was a good villain although he shifted back and forth into super villain and compasionate villain too much for my taste. Brolin did a great job.
I love how everybody was aware of how incredible Chris Evans looked and always kept going back to his insane hair and beard.
I was waiting and hoping for a superhero masacre, I wanted them to have the balls to do it and they didn’t. And they’ll bring back everybody again in Avengers 4 very easily, unless Avatar finally starts filming and Saldana isn’t available for Guardians 3.
And finally…once again…when DC destroys buildings and people it’s a problem, when Marvel does it, it’s cool and nobody is bothered.April 27, 2018 at 4:41 pm #1202536731
Do you think this film will fight against Black Panther for Oscar noms for tech categories?
I think this film has a better chance for Visual Effects but Black Panther has a better shot in every other Oscar category.
I think the Oscars have shown that they don’t care for superhero movies that much, and the only thing that could help is hype and cultural relevance, and Black Panther will still have that, while Avengers will be forgotten in a couple of months. People will still try to push for a BP nomination for Black Panther at the same time people are simply loosing interest in A3 and all they’ll care about is an A4 trailer so they can move on.April 27, 2018 at 5:35 pm #1202536747This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.April 27, 2018 at 5:48 pm #1202536750This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.April 27, 2018 at 5:52 pm #1202536751This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.April 27, 2018 at 8:48 pm #1202536782This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.April 27, 2018 at 9:13 pm #1202536788

This x1000, i will never understand all the blind hate/rage for MOS. Im fine if general masses wanna hate something but dont hate it in one film and love it another.April 27, 2018 at 10:09 pm #1202536795This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.April 28, 2018 at 6:13 am #1202536878
What does one thing have to do with the other?
It’s wrong for DC films to destroy shit and kill people because the acting is bad? And Marvel gets away with it because the acting is “good”?
What do we do about The Hulk destroying shit then? Because Mark Ruffalo has completely lost interest in this role and has been “atrociusly bland” for two movies in a row now.
