I really hope Jennifer Ehle doesn’t miss but that BIFA loss to Kosar Ali left me worried. Loved her perfomance and I hope she gets recognized. My favourite supporting actress of the season alongside Yuh-jung Youn.

Absolutely loved the slugfest. Great discussion of the new system and super thought provoking for finalising my predictions

Oh, that’s so great to hear!

Winners aren’t jury picked are they?

No they are still decided by the general membership in all categories apart from Best British Debut.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

I’m not considering people like Julia Garner or Radha Blank here but I wonder if a performance by an American performer that isn’t a big awards contender like those two gets in here.

BAFTA must have the only film awards ceremony that has more nomination spots for actors than movies.

    How so?

Riley- If that question was directed to my comment directly above yours, it’s because in the acting categories there are 6 nominees while in the Best Picture category there are only 5 nominees.

    For real.

Cumberbatch is the only one I’m 100% confident of not being nominated.

It’s so hard to predict these. We don’t know anything about this jury and it will take some years for us to gauge certain predilections. Low scores incoming.
