Wow! 9th place. If only I had keeped Alana Haim instead of changing to Claire Rushbrook… I would be 1st sniff
It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

When was the last time a GG Drama actress won and failed a BAFTA – and I’ve just been reminded it was Andra Day, of course .
Still Baffled.

Last year? Andra Day didn’t even make the longlist. I’m afraid the GG are slipping more and more into irrelevance.
February 3, 2022 at 9:00 am #1204770752I just… don’t understand… thank God she is already a 4 times BAFTA winner.
I mean, this is exactly the reason.
Bill Hader and Barry in everything (2 babka)
The Great - Elle Fanning, Nicholas Hoult and comedy writing and directingSeverance in drama series, writing, Adam Scott for best actor, Ben Stiller for drama directing, and the whole cast in supporting.

If their Drama winners always get the Oscar nomination, then that’s not irrelevant, now is it.
February 3, 2022 at 9:25 am #1204770851This had been a very odd awards season. I would not be the bit surprised if one or two of the BAFTA snubs actually went on to win the Oscar in March.

Lol this comment makes no sense. Seeing how Andra ended up with the Oscar nod.
#12 for 2021 SAG Film Award Winners.
February 3, 2022 at 9:29 am #1204770862I’m surprised no one has mentioned the biggest mystery these nominations have brought to this season.
Will Clayton Davis continue to forget Joanna Scanlan exists and put her last in his predictions or will he now predict her to upset because he left her out twice? A tricky one.
February 3, 2022 at 9:33 am #1204770888SAG is about to become very important. SAG win + Top 2 at BAFTA is the new golden ticket, and the only ones who have a shot at that are Gaga, Cumberbatch, Smit-McPhee, Balfe, and DeBose (unless you think Negga snuck in here).
February 3, 2022 at 9:35 am #1204770896My biggest takeaways from the noms:
– WSS deserved better. Really happy for Faist tho.
– Gaga has solidified herself as the frontrunner here.
– Yay for Will Smith. I still think he’ll win here over Benedict.
– Happy for the Boiling Point noms but can’t believe they snubbed Vinette!!!
– Ryusuke Hamaguchi is most likely happening in Director at the Oscars. I think Spielberg is going to miss.February 3, 2022 at 9:36 am #1204770898Also SO happy for Leo. Thank god he finally showed up somewhere. I’m keeping him in for the Oscars.
