WTF was that 😂😂 My predictions have never been this terrible, omg, hahaha.

The Power of the Dog is showing a curious dichotomy in this phase of awards season, though it’s much easier to see if you toss aside all the heavily redundant/irrelevant critics awards aside from the legacy trifecta. Those are the only critics awards that are worth tallying imo, and it’s served me well for a while (putting much stronger focus on industry awards and studio strategies has also been beneficial.).

Where Campion’s film is strong, it’s v. strong, and where it’s not, it’s pretty clearly not. Not a lot of middle ground it appears. class=”emoji”.svg” class=”emoji”

I didn’t watch the show (it’s usually a bore) but saw a clip of Scanlan’s win…all I’d like to know is why was Daniel Kaluuya presenting and wtf was he wearing?

He did win last year but I thought he would present Supporting Actress NOT Lead and YES, WTH was he wearing?

Because we’re all young impulsive people who define ourselves by our taste in movies, so we take any comment disparaging our preferred movies as disparaging ourselves.

We’re really not, not by a long shot. And maybe a word of advice from older and less impulsive people who don’t define ourselves by our taste in movies or anything so shallow and ever-changing? Log off, put your phone down, broaden your horizons, go travelling, read history, develop a personality that isn’t about performing it to others. You are that which you do, not that which you say you are to strangers online. Regulating emotions is an important part of growing up (… and is harder when Gold Derbying while drunk, which I have also learned isn’t nice). We are all still learning!

Bill Hader and Barry in everything (2 babka)
The Great - Elle Fanning, Nicholas Hoult and comedy writing and directing

Severance in drama series, writing, Adam Scott for best actor, Ben Stiller for drama directing, and the whole cast in supporting.
