I think Cooper has to wait until he has that “right” project and role to garner him a win. It seems his other nominations were all about his co-stars or they were from projects that the Academy wasn’t really itching to heavily reward. It’s sort of like DiCaprio. ASIB may be Cooper’s Heaven Can Wait and they are waiting for his Reds.

We are going to have to wait until SAG to figure this category out. I so want Rami Malek to win on Sunday, and then win BAFTA too, then the Oscar. But IDK what will happen. For now I have predicted Malek in the predictions center but will see what happens at SAG and BAFTA before making my final prediction.

It has finally hit me that Sensitive Pixie Dream Boy was snubbed.

He scorched heaven and earth this season, up until he didn’t. What a shame; he was beautiful.

I’ll never forgive A24 and whatever else caused this 🙁

This has to be the most boring lead actor race in YEARS.

Yeah. Also I noticed that 4 out of 5 nominees in this category played real life figures.

Rami’s got this imo. Cooper tried to go for Oscar bait overplayed his hand. No surprise about the BD snub.

He could have had a shot a consolation Oscar for Song, but he didn’t write Shallow. I think his nominations will be his reward this year.

I’m going with Bale. Not sure why he hasn’t been discussed more during this awards season. What he did in Vice was unbelievable. It’s one of if not THE more transformational performances I have ever seen. I’m still not even sure if that was actually him.

The make-up team of the movie is already winning for that, next.

I thought I was the only one who did not find Bradley attractive. I don’t know, it’s like his facial features don’t match.

Have u seen him in his first ever on screen appearance aka in a cameo in Sex and the City? He’s barely servicable appearance-wise. What money can do.

I remember people giving Emma Thompson hell for her performance in Sense & Sensibility, because she was considered too old for the role. Has Defoe experienced anything similar? His case is even more baffling

And these days I cannot tell one from the other…
