Adam Driver is so overrated here. I can’t believe he’s leading the vote.

Jake Gyllenhaal is the best. He’s closely followed by Daniel Kaluuya

    FYC:

    Best Actor :
Riz Ahmed for Sound Of Metal
Delroy Lindo for Da 5 Bloods
    Gary Oldman for Mank

    Best Supporting Actor:
Daniel Kaluuya for Judas and the Black Messiah
Paul Raci for Sound Of Metal

    Best Supporting Actress:
    Amanda Seyfried for Mank
Helena Zengel for News of the World

Super annoying that Shia LaBeouf is such a violent twat because he’s a fantastic actor. Not that that impacted the reverence for other acclaimed violent male piece of shit actors in the past.

I love how ever since he was getting acclaim for his “Marriage Story” performance, you’ve been hating on Adam Driver haha

It’s fun seeing you so triggered by his success.

Keep being salty, please. It’s cute.

It’s easily Adam Driver and it’s not close (Gyllenhaal as the runner-up).

And we haven’t even seen his best yet.
His greatest and most career defining work is still ahead of him.

Gyllenhaal and (at least for me) it isn’t even close.

Chris Pine being included in this poll is the funniest thing ever.

FYC OSCARS : PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. ACTRESS – Carey Mulligan AND ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY — EMERALD FENNELL), VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", ESSIE DAVIS FOR "BABYTEETH"

At the moment, Adam Driver has the best career among those mentioned. But overall, considering all the filmography and performances, I voted for Jake.

Gyllenhaal is great for sure but I went for Driver because I think he just has the edge at the minute and is making some interesting choices.

Also Gyllenhaal definitely had a head start as he’s a child of Hollywood (Jamie Lee Curtis is his godmother) whereas Driver is just some working class dude who wound up at Juilliard. So that gives him an edge for me too.

That said Gyllenhaal not getting nominated for Nightcrawler is one of the most ridiculous snubs of recent years.
