True (double categories). But they remain largely whores imo.
I have more respect for Chlotrudis.

Darlings, the Globes will decide if either Nose or Joke is getting that dildo. I smell a Joke win.

Afraid not. It’ll be decided before then and GG knows it.

Have you considered channeling She Devil? Far nicer…

The way I see it, we have three groupings:

The Ones That are Really Strong Contedners:
Antonio Banderas, “Pain & Glory” (I feel like could be his ticket to the Oscars)
Adam Driver, “Marriage Story” (I feel like he is a lock for the nomination)
Jonathan Pryce, “The Two Popes” (I think he is a lock)
Leonardo DiCaprio, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” (I think he is a lock)
Eddie Murphy, “Dolemite Is My Name” (I mean he looks like he is back in A+ form in this)
Joaquin Phoenix, “Joker” (By this point we all know I am not buying into the hype but I think he is going to get nominated)
Edward Norton, “Motherless Brooklyn” (This movie looks awesome and he seems to be the one to watch from it)

    The Maybes:
Robert De Niro, “The Irishman” (Even without the lawsuit, I think he is a maybe tbh. Before I thought he was a lock but my gut says no)
Christian Bale, “Ford v. Ferrari” (This guy is amazing but I think it will come down to how well the movie is received)
Matt Damon, “Ford v. Ferrari” (This guy is amazing but I think it will come down to how well the movie is received)
Matthew Rhys, “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” (I could see him riding the wave of success with this movie if its well received into the Oscars)
Taron Egerton, “Rocketman” (He was great but it could go either way for him but no doubt that this is his best performance to date)

    The Dark Horses:
Adam Driver, “The Report” (It’s either this or Marriage Story but my gut says Marriage Story)
Robert Pattinson, “The Lighthouse” (Gut feeling)
Eddie Redmayne, “The Aeronauts” (Gut feeling)
Ian McKellen, “The Good Liar” (Never count him out)
Michael B. Jordan, “Just Mercy” (gut feeling)
Daniel Kaluuya, “Queen & Slim” (He looks great in this one and he is riding that wave of popularity still too)

And this is the other nail in Driver’s coffin. The Globes are extremely populist, probably more so than any other major awards outlet. And they proved with both Bohemian Rhapsody and Vice’s wins that reviews mean nothing to them. Not only is Joker the overwhelming frontrunner to win Drama Actor there, it also has a strong shot at winning Drama Film, and getting the same boost that BoRap got. Driver’s only chance at a Globes win is if he frauds into Comedy, and even then he’ll still lose the Oscar.

Joker is expected to earn $61-62 million in it’s second weekend. It’s initial projections were $45 millions. This is just a 37% drop.

As expected, general audiences loved this movie and this one will have legs on box office.

Driver might get boost from having SW movie released in December. Like ST is crap but it will be big event and he plays villain there.

Guess all that terrible word of mouth really hurt, didn’t it? People must really hate this film. Super divisive.

Cause he will both have critically acclaimed performance in critically acclaimed movie (Marriage Story) while simultaneously having big box office franchise movie with Star Wars.

I mean it will still be hard for Joker to reach the $700 or $800 million threshold like some of you once claimed, right? Its drop is not super bad like Us, but still if this does not cross the $500 million, it will be lame for a movie this anticipated!
