Not what the reviews have been saying

The reviews are clearly saying that SCARLETT JOHANSSON is winning….

Go and watch Marriage Story first…

    December predictions:

    • Yalitza Aparicio, Venir
    • Scarlett Johansson, Marriage Story
    • Lupita Nyong’o, Us
    • Charlize Theron, Bombshell
    • Renée Zellweger, Judy

Aparicio looks like the clear winner to me.

“No user starts this shady” - someone culturally relevant.

Also got banned because...reasons? So, I guess ciao.

Yalitza doesn’t stand a chance no matter how good she is. It’s going to fly under the radar. A small foreign indie film will not be a late season contender.

As for Johansson, I think the race will shift more in her favor once Marriage Story gets its Netflix release. Same for Driver. I could see the opposite happen for Dern.

Nothing has changed since the last time I’ve commented. Johansson is winning the Globe. And not only that, she is sweeping. Most voters don’t understand why Renée is the presumed frontrunner. In fact, the majority of them who have seen Judy have been very underwhelmed by her performance. She will still be nominated because it would be embarrassing for her not to be at this point but she is never taking another a televised award. I’ve heard HPFA didn’t like Bombshell so Theron is out of the race there. Robbie will probably still be nominated in Supporting because Hollywood has been desperately trying to make her a thing but she will be pure filler, as always. The talk in town right now is Yalitza Aparicio’s surprise movie Venir. Its chances at awards are currently unclear but from what I’ve heard Yalitza has been blowing peoples’ minds at early screenings. Considering how weak the category is (way weaker than it looks) imagining Yalitza getting in is not far-fetched. That’s it for now. Quote this quickly before I get banned, you know this site hates me.

I still have no idea whether or not this Venir hype is all one big joke or fueled by delusion, but there’s zero chance that Aparicito is even nominated, much less winning, this award. There’s a huge difference between a coattail nom from a Best Picture frontrunner and a film that either doesn’t exist (I can’t find a single trace of it on the internet, so I’m not entirely convinced you’re not making it up), or is releasing super late with no buzz outside of Goldderby and zero critic awards.

    For Your Consideration

    Best Picture: Parasite
    Best Director: Bong-Joon Ho,
    Best Actor: Joaquin Phoenix
    Best Actress: Scarlett Johansson
    Supporting Actor: Al Pacino
    Supporting Actress: Laura Dern
    Adapted Screenplay: Jojo Rabbit
    Original Screenplay: Parasite

    Care to elaborate dear?

Johansson has been completely overshadowed by Dern and Driver. She’s been completely absent. She feels to me like Ryan Gosling while Driver is Emma Stone.

It would help if I knew who “Intel” is. He’s not ‘new’.
Yalitza was great in ROMA but imo was overshadowed by the cinematography and production and Cuaron’s grandiose direction.

I think it’s a joke. There no evidence if it’s prior existence and I can’t find anything on the “Mexican” internet of its existence. Not to mention when one user said somebody saw it in Brazil I knew it was fake cause no way in hell in to would’ve premiered so fast in another country if it was just released in Mexico. Also Yalitza would’ve be talking about it on her social media by now if it was released. Shame on you all for making fun of Yalitza

    Apparently that’s because you’re American-centric.
