For what? Ocean’s 8 or Birdbox? Either way, it won’t happen

Oscar winners for Best Actress Glenn Close or Olivia Colman. Sounds like justice.

New thread: recommencing the prayer circle for Emily Blunt

Maybe yours will be more successful than mine for Nicole. Damn, she really underperformed and she was everywhere. Oscars don’t deserve her.

    Sandra Bullock deserves a nomination.

Sandra was great in Bird Box! But I wonder, can that movie be campaigned for Emmy consideration later in the year? I know that it had a brief run in theaters in December for Oscar consideration, but can it also qualify for the Emmys? Because if Sandra gets nominated for an Emmy in the “tv movie/limited series” category, she can surely win.

No, since Netflix decided to enter it in the Oscars officially, it can’t compete for Emmys.

But what about things like “Til It Happens to You”/The Hunting Ground being nominated at both shows? These rules are so muddy.

For some odd and awful reason, there are different rules about documentaries. My opinion would be that everything is either eligible for film awards or TV awards. Nothing should be eligible for both.

Blunt really needs a miracle to breakthrough. I’m joining you in the prayer sessions

Taron Egerton (Rocketman) for best actor. Charlize Theron looks great in Bombshell teaser
