    12 days until Colman wins.

Whilst I wish that would happen and if I were a voter I would be voting for Olivia Colman, but Glenn Close has it in the bag.

Gary Oldman was disappointed when Colman won the BAFTA.

Me, i wasn’t because I expected Colman to win. Rachel Weisz and Emma Stone been splitting the vote during the whole season, but Rachel has to win the BAFTA for obvious reasons.

Oldman is weird. He has some kind of boner for Closes performance in The Wife. Each time he has presented her with an awards, he was thrilled. Who knows. But he better get ready to say Olivia in twelve days.

Maybe it’s because he liked her performance in the movie, was happy to give her the awards she was finally getting and sympathizes with her?  Idk what’s weird about that.

He would’ve been her husband in the film had The Darkest Hour not been filming. They’re also friends through their work in Air Force One.

Ok, that as well. Like I said I don’t understand the hate towards Close per se. But when people also try to act surprised that some of Close’s colleagues show her respect and are happy for her I feel like I’m in some Twilight Zone.

I’m pretty sure Oldman’s name is not Gisele Schmidt, I think it’s his wife’s instagram and not his.

Olivia Colman has also been active the British acting community. For years, she’s been a mentor to BAFTA Breakthrough Actor honoree Katie Leung (most Americans who would know her would know her as Cho Chang from the Harry Potter series) through a BAFTA mentorship program for years.

I think actors tend to be supportive of other actors and are happy to recognize those that they respect, unless they have some personal beef with each other. I think Oldman would be happy to give either Colman or Close the award in 12 days…if he gets to do it.

Mukund, Luca, why you even bother with that person? I have him on ignore but I still see what he posts thanks to you quoting him (ugh). I put him on ignore because he has some weird obsession with me and makes me uncomfortable. Do the same, he’s just not worth it.

Weird obsessions are to be guarded against, but you are a lot of fun, Sasha.  Maybe that’s it.  Seeing you are fun, I do hope you will watch the Oscars.  The other awards you say I’m not watching! (Though you do pop in).

I imagine this will be Gleenn on Sunday night, the 24th when she gets home from the OSCARS.

Patty Hewes was one of the best characters ever on television. Had she been Oscar nominated for a role like that, I don’t think there would have been any question about her winning the Oscar. I know some say she’s a lock now, and though I’m still inclined to think of her as a favorite for the award, I don’t think she’s a lock. I think she’d be more of a lock for a role like this. Though, I’m glad if she wins for The Wife, it’d be for a role that called for her to be a lot less intense and more subtle and guarded.
